Paul Higdon

Paul Higdon has spent his entire career involved in personal injury litigation. Higdon is devoted to creating the biggest impact possible in this area of law and using his skills to improve the lives of others.

 

Paul Higdon was born in Lubbock, Texas. He attended Texas Tech University to receive his BBA in 1983 and continued on to the Texas Tech School of Law, receiving his law degree in 1986. Higdon has bar admissions and all Texas State and Federal Courts and has received awards from the Legal Research Board and the National Moot Court Team.

 

Higdon is actively involved in statewide trial practice, having taken jury verdicts in Harris, Montgomery, Galveston, Victoria, Fort Bend, Jefferson, Tarrant, Dallas, Midland, Ector, Reeves,  Hidalgo, Jim Wells, and Cameron counties. He has successfully handled numerous of other cases to completion and other counties throughout the state, as well as appeals at both the State and Federal levels.

 

Higdon is an active member of the State Bar of Texas, The American Association for Justice, Houston Trial Lawyers Association, and the Bar Association of the Fifth Federal Circuit.

John Murphy

After serving as an officer in the United States Navy, Mr. Murphy attended South Texas College of Law, where he received his J.D. in 1986. After graduation, Mr. Murphy served as an assistant district attorney with the Victoria County District Attorney's Office. After leaving the District Attorney's Office, Mr. Murphy returned to Houston and conducted an insurance defense practice for several years, defending cases of medical and pharmaceutical negligence, motor vehicle collisions, false arrest and malicious prosecution, and premises liability. Mr. Murphy joined Higdon Lawyers in 2019.

Christopher Bertini

Chris a native Houstonian. He attended Vanderbilt University and graduated with a degree in mathematics.  After law school at the University of Houston he joined the oldest existing law firm in the State of Texas where he became partner. Thereafter he founded his own firm specializing in personal injury litigation and natural disaster litigation. He closed his firm to concentrate on litigation and joined Higdon Lawyers in 2020.  

 

Chris has been licensed for over 30 years and is Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law.  He has tried cases in State and Federal Court throughout Texas.   

 

He is a father of three adult children, active in the Knights of Columbus and an avid runner.
